Lakeshore College Sheboygan Location Moving to 1 University Ave.

Lakeshore College’s Sheboygan campus is moving from 1320 Niagara Ave. to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Sheboygan campus at 1 University Dr. Lakeshore College will begin holding classes at its new location, which it will share with UW-Green Bay, on Sept. 2.
The two institutions are working together to update signage at the property to reflect Lakeshore College’s move there.

Lakeshore College is pleased to announce Kendra Klein, who will graduate from the college's legal studies/paralegal program in May 2026, has been chosen as president of the Wisconsin Student Government.

Lakeshore College awarded $1.36M to provide TRIO Student Support Services

The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Lakeshore College a federal TRIO Student Support Services grant totaling $1.36 million to improve college retention and graduation rates among low-income students, first-generation students, and students with disabilities. Lakeshore will receive $272,364 annually for the next five years.

Lakeshore College Swears Board Members In & Elects Officers

Lakeshore College’s District Board of Trustees incumbent member Monica Nichter has been reappointed to the board. Newly appointed board members Abbey Quistorf and Mary Parrish, along with Nichter, were sworn in at the board’s organizational meeting July 14.
Officers elected for the next term include Nichter, chair; Kim Rooney, vice chair; and Don Pohlman, secretary/treasurer.

Lakeshore College faculty release new books

Lakeshore College faculty members are making their mark beyond the classroom with the release of two new books. Communications Faculty Dr. Emilie Lindemann recently published “Ghost(ed) Woman & the Electric Purple Pants,” and Machining Faculty Mark Lorier authored “Blueprint Reading.” Both titles are now available online.

Plumbers & Steamfitters union donates $25K to establish scholarships at Lakeshore College

The Plumbers & Steamfitters UA Local 400 union donated $25,000 to the Lakeshore College Foundation to establish a scholarship fund that will provide financial assistance to students interested in training for careers in welding or heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

602 Students named to dean’s list at Lakeshore College

Lakeshore College named 602 students to its spring 2025 dean’s list. To make the list, students must have completed six or more credits for the term and earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. The 403 students who earned presidential honors, which require a 4.0 GPA, are indicated with an asterisk.

2 Lakeshore College students advance to SkillsUSA Championships

Two Lakeshore College students placed first in competitions at the spring 2025 SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills state conference held in Madison. Qualifying for advancement to the national SkillsUSA Championships taking place in Atlanta June 23-27 are Autumn Robley and Johnathon DeBruin.

Lakeshore College summer camps focus on in-demand careers

Lakeshore College will host two summer camps offering middle and high school students the opportunity to explore in-demand careers. Both camps will be held on the college’s Cleveland campus.

Wyatt Elected Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association President

Lakeshore College’s District Board of Trustees Chair John Wyatt has been elected president of the Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association for a one-year term beginning July 1.
