Train for a Career While You Learn

Earn Your High School Diploma: GED®/HSED

Adults who have not completed high school can earn a recognized credential through the GED® or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).

GED®

  • Pass 4 subject tests
  • Nationally recognized credential

HSED

  • Includes GED®-level competencies
  • Additional coursework
  • Wisconsin diploma

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age: Proof that the applicant is at least 18.5 years old or their 9th-grade class has graduated from high school.
  • Residency: Provide proof that the applicant has resided in Wisconsin for at least 10 days.
  • Graduation Status: The applicant has not graduated from high school and is not enrolled in any public or private high school.

 

Learn English: EL

The English Learner (EL) program supports adults who want to learn or improve their English for everyday life, work, and college.

Next Step: Career Pathways

Once students build foundational skills, they can take the next step into Integrated Education & Training (IET) programs.

IET programs allow students to continue improving their English and academic skills while gaining hands-on training for a career. This combined approach helps students move into the workforce faster while continuing their education.
