Lakeshore College announces election of board officers

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore College’s District Board of Trustees incumbent members Mayor Don Pohlman and John Wyatt were reappointed to the board for three-year terms on July 13.
Officers elected for the next term include Monica Nichter, chair; Don Pohlman, vice chair; and Belinda Esquina, secretary/treasurer.
Lakeshore has an appointed board consisting of nine members: two employer members, two employee members, three additional members, one elected official member who holds a state or local office, and one school district administrator. Three members are appointed to the Lakeshore Board of Trustees each year by a committee comprised of the county board chairs of the counties making up the Lakeshore district: Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Calumet, and Ozaukee. Terms for the three board members sworn in July 13 expire June 30, 2029.
Pohlman is the Mayor of the City of Plymouth. He holds a degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Concordia University. Pohlman enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a medic during the Vietnam Era. He is a life member of the VFW Post 5612 Plymouth and a 46-year member of American Legion Post 243 Plymouth. He is also a 47-year member of the Plymouth Rotary Club and a Boy Scout Merit Badge counselor. In his spare time, he drives a school bus in Sheboygan and a Tour Coach across the country part time. Pohlman is a past board chair and current board vice chair.
Wyatt retired from Kohler Company after 30 years during which he served as Director of Infrastructure and Operations and Director - Cybersecurity. Wyatt has over 40 years of experience in managing complex business systems in engineering and information technology. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Central Missouri State University, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas, and an MBA from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Wyatt is an IT Advisory Committee member for Lakeshore College, Elder and Treasurer of Plymouth Alliance Church, serves on the Plymouth Plan Commission and has a lifelong interest in education. In his spare time, he loves to golf and work in his woodworking shop. Wyatt is the immediate past board chair.
