CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore College earned two Medallion Awards from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) during the organization’s District 3 Medallion Awards Ceremony Reception Oct. 6 in Madison.
Lakeshore received Gold in the Novelty category for its Lenny’s Leap dual credit program locker entry and Bronze in the Promotional Video–Short Form category for a video promoting the Maintenance Mechanic program at the College.
The awards recognize outstanding marketing and public relations work produced by NCMPR District 3 two-year community and technical colleges. The annual competition honors excellence in creativity, communication, and effectiveness across a variety of marketing and public relations categories.
The Gold-winning Lenny’s Leap entry featured a custom miniature locker branded with Lenny the Snow Leopard, Lakeshore College’s mascot, and was designed as a unique promotional tool for high school counselors and representatives to use when promoting the college’s dual credit opportunities to students.
The locker was distributed at a Lenny’s Leap kickoff event and included Lakeshore-branded items, sticker sheets and a flash drive containing digital promotional resources for partner schools, including social media graphics, flyers, website graphics, newsletter content and other marketing materials.
Lenny’s Leap provides high school students with opportunities to earn college credit in partnership with Lakeshore College while exploring their future course of opportunity.
The Bronze-winning promotional video was created as part of Lakeshore College’s marketing efforts to showcase the Maintenance Mechanic program through engaging, short-form video content. The video has been utilized on the College’s website and social media platforms. The video may be viewed here: lakeshore.edu/maintenance-mechanic.
“We are proud to have Lakeshore College’s marketing work recognized among the outstanding work being produced by colleges throughout District 3,” said Dr. Paul Carlsen, president of Lakeshore College. “These awards reflect the creativity and collaboration of our marketing team and the many people across the college who contribute to telling Lakeshore’s story.”
NCMPR District 3’s annual conference and awards ceremony were held Oct. 5-7 in Madison.
