Lakeshore College awarded SCEDC’s 2025 Economic Driver of the Year Award

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore College was honored by the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation with the 2025 Economic Driver of the Year Award during the Annual SCEDC Celebration Nov. 6. The college received the award in partnership with Lakeland University. This is the first time the organization has recognized two institutions with the award in a single year.
“We are grateful to the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation for this honor and the opportunity to stand beside our strong partner, Lakeland University,” said Dr. Paul Carlsen, president of Lakeshore College. “This award is a testament to the joint impact both institutions of higher learning have on Sheboygan County.”
Lakeshore College received the honor due to its strong faculty and staff, commitment to the community, the economic impact our graduates have in the surrounding area, and the ability to adapt to employer needs. Lakeshore continues to drive growth and opportunity in Sheboygan County through higher education.
