CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore College student Alan Calvin has been selected to represent the college as its 2026-27 Wisconsin Technical College System Student Ambassador.
Lakeshore’s student ambassador promotes Lakeshore on campus, in the community, among legislators, and at Wisconsin Technical College System events. A scholarship is also awarded to the student selected annually for the role, considered one of the most competitive leadership opportunities at the college.
Calvin, who is originally from Milwaukee, is enrolled in Lakeshore’s Graphic & Web Design, IT Cybersecurity Specialist, and Network Specialist programs. He recently started Lakeshore College's Gaming Club, and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, IT Club, and Makers Club. Calvin also serves as an ambassador for TRIO Support Services, a program offering a variety of services geared to first-generation and lower-income students as well as students with disabilities.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Alan for earning the role of Lakeshore’s 2026–27 Student Ambassador. This honor speaks to his leadership, passion for learning, and the important ways our students represent Lakeshore’s mission both on campus and beyond,” said Lakeshore President Dr. Paul Carlsen.
