Lakeshore College summer camps focus on in-demand careers

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore College will host three summer camps offering middle and high school students the opportunity to explore in-demand careers. All camps will be held on the college’s Cleveland campus.
Junior Chef Camp is planned for June 15-17 from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. High school students ages 14-18 will experience three days learning alongside professional chefs in the Lakeshore College Culinary Arts Lab. Hands-on activities will help Junior Chefs discover all that is needed to run a successful restaurant, including daily planning, and production of menu entrees. Cost per participant is $151.85. Lunch is included with camp fee.
FabLab Camp is set for June 15-18 from 9 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and until 3 pm Thursday. Students ages 11-13 will explore the world of robotics, 3D printing, laser cutting, mechanical design and other hands-on activities. Cost per participant is $59. Lunch is provided.
IT Camp takes place June 22-25. Monday through Wednesday camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a bring-your-own-lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Thursday camp will be held from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. followed by a lunch and open house student showcase event for campers and their guests. Lunch will be provided. Attendees will have the opportunity to chat with faculty and see what students have worked on during camp. The camp is open to incoming freshmen to 2026 high school graduates. This hands-on camp introduces coding, cybersecurity, and IT fundamentals. Cost per participant is $166.85.
