Lakeshore College to Celebrate Spring Graduation May 9

Lakeshore College’s spring graduation will mark the culmination of the educational journeys of 270 students on Saturday, May 9, on the college’s Cleveland campus.

Among the 320 credentials being awarded, the majority are associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates. More than 100 Registered Apprenticeships, General Education Development (GED) certificates, and High School Equivalency Diplomas (HSEDs) also will be awarded.

“We take great pride in the accomplishments of every student during their time at Lakeshore College. Our faculty and staff are excited to see the difference they will make in their communities and beyond. Their success, along with the strong education they’ve received, will create a lasting ripple effect,” said Lakeshore President Dr. Paul Carlsen.

Graduation is a unique celebration at Lakeshore. This momentous occasion is commemorated in a different fashion than most colleges with a more family-friendly type of event. While each academic area receives a designated timeframe to have degrees conferred, students and their supporters may attend when it works best for them.

  • GED/HSED: 9-9:30 a.m.
  • Manufacturing, Engineering, Agriculture, and Registered Apprenticeship: 9:30-10 a.m.
  • Business, Education, Culinary Arts, and General Studies: 10-10:45 a.m.
  • Break: 10:45-11 a.m.
  • Health and Public Safety: 11 a.m.

Students and their guests are welcome on campus from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All campus buildings will be open during this timeframe. College representatives will be onsite for the day’s festivities.
