CLEVELAND, WI —
Amy Hanson, senior marketing specialist at Lakeshore College, has been selected as the 2026 District 3 Rising Star Award recipient by the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR).
The annual Rising Star Award recognizes a newcomer to the two-year community and technical college marketing and public relations field who demonstrates creativity and talent and shows promise for a successful career in the profession. NCMPR presents one Rising Star Award in each of its seven districts.
Hanson was nominated for the award by Ann Deuser, director of marketing at Lakeshore College. “Hanson has established herself as an innovative and results-driven marketing and public relations professional. She has led and supported high-impact initiatives that have strengthened the college’s brand, expanded student recruitment efforts, and created lasting marketing assets,” Deuser said.
Hanson received the award during NCMPR District 3’s Awards of Excellence ceremony Oct. 6 in Madison. The ceremony was part of the district’s annual conference, held Oct. 5-7.
As the District 3 Rising Star recipient, Hanson automatically becomes one of seven finalists for NCMPR’s national Rising Star Award. The national award will be presented at NCMPR’s national conference in Chicago in March 2027.
