Integrated Education and Training (IET)

At Lakeshore College, integrated education and training Wisconsin programs help students build career skills while working toward a college credential. Instead of completing education and job training separately, students participate in a coordinated learning experience that connects classroom instruction directly to real-world careers. This model allows students to progress more quickly while gaining relevant, in-demand skills that employers are looking for.

What is IET?

IET programs combine career training with academic support, so you can gain job-ready skills while improving reading, writing, math, or English language skills—all at the same time.

Why Choose IET?

  • Gain career-focused skills
  • Work toward a college credential
  • Learn from multiple instructors
  • No cost to participate

How It Works

You’ll be enrolled in both a career training course and an Adult Education or English Learner (EL) class. These are designed to work together, helping you progress faster.

Requirement: Students must be enrolled in an Adult Education or EL class to participate.

Hear From Our Current Students
