Getting Involved on Campus Is Time Well Spent

What if the best part of college didn’t happen in a classroom? With classes starting next week, now is the time for students to consider the benefits of getting involved in campus events and activities. Whether you’re taking one class or have a full class load ahead of you, it’s important to make time for activities outside the classroom. Benefits of getting involved are many, including gaining a sense of belonging, connecting with new people, learning life skills, and something not often mentioned: being perceived as more hireable.

Lakeshore Responds to Law Enforcement Shortage with New Accelerated Training Program

To help address the shortage of qualified candidates needed to fill local law enforcement jobs, Lakeshore College is launching a new accelerated Criminal Justice program beginning in August. The program's accelerated timeframe can have students graduated and ready to start a new career in law enforcement as soon as January 2026.

Robotic Electrical Maintenance

This course is designed for industrial maintenance professionals who troubleshoot and repair Fanuc Robots, this training discusses the robot’s electrical control components: the components function, their relationship to other control components, and how to troubleshoot faults and problems with the system. Laboratory experiences include electrical troubleshooting using fault codes, troubleshooting by symptom, file manipulation and backup, setting up Digital I/O, and Fanuc DCS safety software.
