With classes starting next week, now is the time for students to consider the benefits of getting involved in campus events and activities. Whether you’re taking one class or have a full class load ahead of you, it’s important to make time for activities outside the classroom. Benefits of getting involved are many, including gaining a sense of belonging, connecting with new people, learning life skills, and something not often mentioned: being perceived as more hireable.

Lakeshore Responds to Law Enforcement Shortage with New Accelerated Training Program

Students undergo hands-on, highly supervised tactical training exercises in Scenario City, located on Lakeshore’s Cleveland campus.

To help address the shortage of qualified candidates needed to fill local law enforcement jobs, Lakeshore College is launching a new accelerated Criminal Justice program beginning in August. The program's accelerated timeframe can have students graduated and ready to start a new career in law enforcement as soon as January 2026.
