At Lakeshore College, we proudly serve as an AWS-accredited testing facility, offering welders and employers access to high-quality, professionally supervised certification testing. Through our KOHLER Center for Manufacturing Excellence and expert testing team, welders can complete AWS-aligned performance tests in a modern, industry-focused environment. By partnering with AWS standards, Lakeshore ensures welders receive credentials that are respected, recognized, and ready to support success wherever their careers take them.

Location

Our test facility is conveniently located off I-43 in Cleveland, WI — within 1–2 hours of Green Bay, Milwaukee, Appleton, and Madison.

Testing Details

All tests administered by an AWS Weld Test Supervisor.
Testing available to any code, all positions, plate or pipe.
Support available for developing:
- WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications)
- PQR (Procedure Qualification Records)
- WQT / WPQR (Welder Qualification Tests & Records)
Testing offered Monday–Friday; special appointments available.
Lead time may be required for specialty materials or uncommon thicknesses.
On-site testing facilitation available for employers.

Testing Codes

All weld tests follow the proper AWS or ASME Code. Procedure Specifications that do not meet AWS B2.1 standards may be reviewed by a Lakeshore Weld Test Supervisor.

Lakeshore maintains the AWS Lakeshore Section Library, which includes multiple Standard Welding Procedure Specifications available for review by appointment.
