Lakeshore College announces District Board of Trustees appointments

Lakeshore College’s Board Appointment Committee has reappointed Don Pohlman and John Wyatt, and appointed Ryan Neville to the Lakeshore College District Board of Trustees. Terms for the three board members begin July 1, 2026 and run through June 30, 2029.

Lakeshore has an appointed board consisting of nine members: two employer members, two employee members, three additional members, one elected official member who holds a state or local office, and one school district administrator. Three members are appointed to the Lakeshore Board of Trustees each year by the Board Appointment Committee comprised by the country board chairs of Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Calumet, and Ozaukee.

Pohlman is the Mayor of the City of Plymouth. He holds a degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Concordia University. Pohlman enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a medic during the Vietnam Era. He is a life member of the VFW Post 5612 Plymouth and a 46-year member of American Legion Post 243 Plymouth. He is also a 47-year member of the Plymouth Rotary Club and a Boy Scout Merit Badge counselor. In his spare time, he drives a school bus in Sheboygan and a Tour Coach across the country part time. Pohlman is a past board chair and current board secretary/treasurer.

Wyatt retired from Kohler Company after 30 years during which he served as Director of Infrastructure and Operations and Director - Cybersecurity. Wyatt has over 40 years of experience in managing complex business systems in engineering and information technology. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Central Missouri State University, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas, and an MBA from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Wyatt is an IT Advisory Committee member for Lakeshore College, Elder and Treasurer of Plymouth Alliance Church, serves on the Plymouth Plan Commission and has a lifelong interest in education. In his spare time, he loves to golf and work in his woodworking shop. Wyatt is the immediate past board chair.

Neville, FACHE, serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Sponsored Ministries (FSCCM), based in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity health ministries include acute and long-term healthcare facilities located in Wisconsin, Nebraska and Ohio. Prior to this role, Neville served as President of the Northeast Market for Froedtert–ThedaCare Health. His previous senior leadership experience includes serving as Regional President for Marshfield Clinic Health System and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, Wisconsin. Neville holds a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Shawnee State University. He is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Neville currently serves on the Lakeshore College Foundation Board and will be resigning from that Board on June 30.

Neville will fill the board seat currently held by Kim Rooney, who is stepping down from the board at the end of her current term. Rooney will have served on the board nine years, including two as secretary/treasurer and three as vice-chair. Rooney played a leadership role in the college’s rebranding to Lakeshore College and was instrumental to the college’s reaffirmation with the Higher Learning Commission in 2024.
